ABOUT RIVER FALLS
River Falls is located approximately 30 miles east of the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. The city has an estimated population of 14,343 people and approximately 6,400 college students. River Falls offers the best Wisconsin has to offer in scenic beauty, seasonal entertainment and hometown charm. There are unlimited opportunities to explore nature at the numerous parks, campgrounds, walking and biking trails. River Falls is home to the Kinnickinnic River, a superb Class I trout stream and there are six golf courses located within 15 minutes of the city.River Falls values education and is home to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the Chippewa Valley Technical College. In October 2009, River Falls was chosen as the 10,001 - 20,000 population category champion and recognized for environmental awareness at the eighth annual America in Bloom Symposium and Awards Program. America in Bloom is a national campaign and contest that promotes enhancing communities through beautification.
